That's standard HMV packaging they have used for as long as I have been buying Steelbooks (a couple of years). They temporarily used jiffy bags (and still occasionally do) when they were moving warehouses though.
Oh, cheers. I`m sure i`ve only ever had jiffy bags. But i`ve only ordered a few times.

Did you get Cabin in the Woods for £15? Looks like it on the packadging. Dont remember seeing it go that low at pre order, sorry hope you don't mind me asking?
Just checked my details, and it was £16.

Edit your address! :ohno:
Cheers dude. Taken down. :thanks:

On to something a bit more serious. I thought the picture quality "SUCKED". Very disappointed. I know it was low budget, but the colour seemed washed out, the dark scenes were almost black and white, motion crawl/ghosting. I double checked the disc, as i thought i may have a standard dvd. To be honest, its one of the worst blu rays i own, picture wise. Beautiful steel tho.
Anyone else have issues???? :dunno:

Isn't that the way the film is supposed to look? I haven't seen it myself but I'm guessing it is made that way. At least the Steelbook makes up for it!:D

Im starting to think Im the only person who ordered this and didnt get it yesterday :( ....but then I got my dispatch email later than a lot of folks so maybe my copy was posted later, still unusual for a play preorder not to get to me on the Saturday, when it was posted on Wednesday

I didn't get mine either and I got my dispatch email really early :(

One of best looking steels for one of best movies so far in 2012. I put my preorder in like one day before it went oos. I gotta admit i was little surprised that this got sold out before release.

Cheers dude. Taken down. :thanks:

yes the picture quality was more like DVD than blu ray but it is a low budget film so it highlights wavering contrast levels and flat shadows.but on the + side the audio is top notch + its a fantastic looking steel!

i havent seen the film yet, i only got it yesterday, but so happy i didnt cancel it along with others .... Awsome Steelbook

Anyone else love the menus on this? Lots of thought been put into this release. Just wish there were no adverts before the menu loads (however, thankfully they can be skipped properly without having to fast-forward manually).

Luckily my steel is mint front and back, just the spine is slightly slashed (only half way across, not the whole thing). It's not as bad as usual because of the bare metal but still annoying because I know its there. Will prob try my luck with a 2nd copy if any get put back up for sale.

I read that because of the high amount of takes due to the action they had to use a cheap digital camera. Also low budget and poor lighting etc contributed to the poor picture quality. Most of the reviews have said this is how the source material is though so I guess it's a faithful transfer. The thing I noticed the most was the heavy banding!

I think for a film that cost 1.1 million dollars to make it looks the best it can on the Blu-ray transfer. I saw the film in the cinema and the picture was no better on that.

I know what you mean about it not being the best quality but I think its a good thing. It gives it more character and feels even grittier which fits the premise of the movie

Recieved Mine Mint! :D Watched last night, Amazing film. You could also choose between Theatrical Or Uncut edition on this aswell. One of my fav steelbooks now! :scat::D:oohyeah:
