@Flloydo I see what you're saying about Kimchi taking risks though most of the titles you listed I wouldn't say were risks such as Dallas Buyers Club and Hell or High Water as these were nominated for several Academy awards and thus very popular in the mainstream and with films like this, they are generally a safe bet.

Wishful thinking but would love a retailer to select a specific Actor then do a range premium releases for the movies in that actors career, say for example Arnold Schwarzenegger..Predator, Total Recall, True Lies, Running Man, Commando etc.

This was a line I was hoping that Film Arena were gearing towards as I know they are big Arnie fans

True, and I was going to add spotlight in that list, even though they were all nominated they are not the type of films to get a decent premium a package so was commending them for that, hell or high water might be a bit different because the nature of the film (which blew me away on my first watch the other night. Also very funny particularly foster and bridges) so yeah I get that one but still they have had quite a large number of hose kinds of films as premium. The pianist is another. Okay nominated and won awards but not everyone's cup of tea.

But happy they did them because everyone of them mentioned I own.

And happy for manta to go there at times like with this.

I think before though the retailers they sold stock to didn't sell it online therefore was exclusive to the rest of the world. Now with yesasia it's different because they can sell online

I'm not really bothered about it all but maybe they should do this a few months after release. I dunno

But when this happens to zavvi or other places people loose their sh*t but with manta people accept it

I love manta but I won't always stick up for them if somethings not right whether it's distribution or artwork they have chosen

@Covcraig i agree with you to a degree, whilst for some (a small amount) it will be in their top 10 or 20 but the majority it won't come near. Is a good little film but I doubt it's even in my top 100 lol (infact I know it's not because I have a list on my phone with over 200 films i love and this ain't in it lol - not all my favourites but films I love or mean a lot to me in general)

But I also agree with @polton & @blu-steel because kimchi wouldn't of released menento, Dallas buyers club, eternal sunshine, he'll or high water, it follows etc etc etc if it weren't for them taking a risk and doing something different.
Man I hope manta or kimchi blu collection tackle vanilla sky and Donnie darko...... Do it, do it, do it!

If it is sold somewhere else it is still an exclusive product. Manta Lab has been distributing their products within the region since the very beginning.

Over time the popularity and demand has only grown with more retailers asking for stock; Recently Manta partnered with their licensee to help distribute an extremely limited amount of stock and somehow the product appeared on YesAsia (leak/resell/etc).

It doesn't make the product any less exclusive or a wide release, you can get the same thing through Group Buy's from a variety of channels and if that doesn't bother anyone why does this?

Not bothered at all. I still love Manta's line up. Was just confused if this is part of the print run or unnumbered just like what Kimchi did few years back. Thanks for the clarification and I'm happy for Manta exclusives increase in demand.

That's what I ended up grabbing as well (along with Lego Batman). Both lenti slips look nice, but Manta's full slips are always the standouts for me. Looking forward to seeing in hand shots of the finish.

yeah handy smitty came back in stock, ordered the lenti full slip. Looks like the restocks make sense with other pre-orders. Its best to ship 2 premiums I find it as it comes to $17.65 instead of $11.55 for 2. If you order 4 premiums I think its about $35 - $36 so nothing to be gained and more risk it will attract customs.
