It might be for aesthetics reasons, but why is Margaret Qualley's name first on the front of the one click box? Shouldn't Demi Moore's name appear first?

Went for the lenticular edition as the artwork on the 1-click seems borderline redundant in comparison. Don't like the artwork on the A1 edition, while the front of A2 looks too similar to the the back of the steelbook.

For those in the UK, did you modify your invoice in any way?

I quickly checked out and kept the selection on 'Original invoice'. Seeing that the UK allows up to £134 before import tax is applied, I felt I wouldn't need to modify it.

Was different years ago with my first Kimchidvd purchase of Iron Man.
For import tax, no. For vat, yes. 20% vat + an applicable handling charge, if not collected in advance, is applied to any imported purchase. Import tax is pittance in comparison. I think it's only like 3%. You should've selected low value GIFT.

Thanks for the reply.
Luckily Kimchi now allows you to modify the invoice after purchase. I've now selected GIFT, $25 on shipping label and invoice.

Glad I went the GB route, I knew this would be a bloodbath especially when the place I ordered from had over 100 orders.

Sounds very much like how the Weet TDK release went, same kind of crappy websites and demand being miles beyond supply.

Shouldn’t it be marked as Merch instead of gift. All my old 30ish orders since 2017 are Merch and a value from $18-$25

That’s been a feature for 8 years

It should not be marked as Merch instead of gift. All my old 30ish orders since 2017 aren't Merch and a value from $18-$25 was not accurate, so I contacted HMRC to ensure I paid the correct amount any time there was a discrepancy, every time.

Anyway love to chat but got to go as it's just finally started raining and I need to shower.. & wash my clothes... and gather water for tonights nettle soup.

Here here @Flloydo

Whatever it takes! Long live import tax!

Possibly, I've never noticed having anything come in marked as merchandise, and I'm not sure the vat free limit on it. I know that gifts under £35 aren't subject to any vat or duty, so that's what I've always asked for.

I forgot about the pre-order lol. Glad I went the GB way, since the GB price was only a few dollars more than going through Kimchidvd direct (shipped to the US).

I see. Iron Man's release was 17 years ago :ohno:, so that's why it felt new to me. I remember having to email good old Tony haha.
It’s still Tony. Thee ol’ one man show.

Yeah before you had to email him to mark the packages how you wanted. I think the option to modify it yourself happened around 2017 when they had the new (current) website

Fair enough. Gift is very risky imo. Well I think I’ll stick to what I know and how I’ve been doing it just in case

Getting things at a reduced value always seemed the better option than taking the piss and everything blowing up in the future.

As a side note, seems Manta has a hub or something in Germany. Had many deliveries in the last year (?) without import costs... Was meaning to ask if anyone else noticed.

I always went with Merch as well. Only time I ever got hit with customs is when I accidentally marked something as Gift.
