For import tax, no. For vat, yes. 20% vat + an applicable handling charge, if not collected in advance, is applied to any imported purchase. Import tax is pittance in comparison. I think it's only like 3%. You should've selected low value GIFT.For those in the UK, did you modify your invoice in any way?
I quickly checked out and kept the selection on 'Original invoice'. Seeing that the UK allows up to £134 before import tax is applied, I felt I wouldn't need to modify it.
Was different years ago with my first Kimchidvd purchase of Iron Man.

Shouldn’t it be marked as Merch instead of gift. All my old 30ish orders since 2017 are Merch and a value from $18-$25For import tax, no. That’s been a feature for 8 yearsThanks for the reply.
Luckily Kimchi now allows you to modify the invoice after purchase. I've now selected GIFT, $25 on shipping label and invoice.

I see. Iron Man's release was 17 years agoThat’s been a feature for 8 years
It should not be marked as Merch instead of gift. All my old 30ish orders since 2017 aren't Merch and a value from $18-$25 was not accurate, so I contacted HMRC to ensure I paid the correct amount any time there was a discrepancy, every time.
Anyway love to chat but got to go as it's just finally started raining and I need to shower.. & wash my clothes... and gather water for tonights nettle soup.

17?I see. Iron Man's release was 17 years ago, so that's why it felt new to me. I remember having to email good old Tony haha.
Oops my bad, I meant 10 years.
Possibly, I've never noticed having anything come in marked as merchandise, and I'm not sure the vat free limit on it. I know that gifts under £35 aren't subject to any vat or duty, so that's what I've always asked for.Shouldn’t it be marked as Merch instead of gift. Fair enough. Gift is very risky imo. Well I think I’ll stick to what I know and how I’ve been doing it just in casePossibly, I've never noticed having anything come in marked as merchandise, and I'm not sure the vat free limit on it. I always went with Merch as well. Only time I ever got hit with customs is when I accidentally marked something as Gift.Fair enough. Gift is very risky imo. Well I think I’ll stick to what I know and how I’ve been doing it just in case
