Is there anyone that paid 14.99 could they please get in touch with me

As even though they said I could pay the cheaper price due to price promise they charged me 19.99 and if someone can prove they paid 14.99 I could get it cheaper r
I also emailed them about this and was basically told that they've raised my query with the relevant department and will get back to me as soon as they have an update... that was on Thursday, and I've not heard anything since.

Can't believe Zavvi charged £19.99 for a dull matte black/red/silver catalog steel. Play steel for the win - at least that has actual art, spot gloss, and embossing.

Limited to 1,000 may be the reason . . .

You're probably right, but I hate that. After all just because there's only 1000 doesn't make your copy any better. I'd much rather they spent proper time and effort getting it looking as good as possible - then they could charge this AND with a higher print run so everyone can get a copy.

If memory serves wasn't there a similar pricing issue with the 'Under the Skin' steelbook - maybe I'm just imagining it, as they never got back to me on the GBP 19.99 that I think it was priced at and I was charged GBP 24.99?
I honestly can't remember... pretty sure I paid £25 for that one as well though. If they don't honour the £15 price tag with this one, then their "pre-order price promise" is evidently BS.

Good news, I received the terminator!
Bad news, it's the amaray.

Thanks Zavvi...

I do like the artwork for this steel, but the fact that there is no Embossing or gloss effect (spot gloss on the light on his glasses would have been kool) makes me just love my play.com steel even more.

Plain matte and no bossing, happy i cancelled.
Not even worth 14.99 concidering its also a catalog title.

I like matte Steelbooks when done right, i.e. Foxs' X-Men releases but I didn't pay over £20 for them.

At least the FA version will be shielded by a decent (IMHO) slipcover. Although those who disliked that will find the whole package unappealing.

I don't have this but I certainly don't get the love for the Play.com version, grainy print, dull matte finish, certainly no spot gloss

Even without embossing or glossing the iconic front image is plenty good enough for me and the best possible image for this steelbook - certainly better than that creepy Film Arena exclusive steelbook front IMO.

The pricing of GBP 18.99 is an issue and maybe should have been GBP 14.99 like 'T3' but in this case with only 1,000 copies in the U.K. I'd say that the price is better than most other steelbooks with a similar print run. I realise this is an oldish film and a catalogue title but it does have quite a following and anything with Arnie sells well.

I've seen what appears to be the same front image on the German steelbook (second edition) but I don't know the pricing for that or the print run, but if the U.K. has 1,000 where are the other 3,000 - if 4,000 is the total?

I don't have my copy yet but I wonder if the red in the shades catches the light in the same way as the red eyes on the front of Play.com's 'T2' or Fox Direct's 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' futurepak ?

The Film Arena exclusive is the exact same steelbook from Zavvi as is the Media Markt German Steelbook and Amazon Italy Steelbook
What's different is the Full Slip and Lenti and artcards but the actual steelbook is the same one as this

The Film Arena package IMO is a better release as you get the same Steelbook with exclusive extras

Its a trade wide Mgm/Fox release across Europe with some retailers getting exclusive for that country

If 4,000 print run does it then work out as :-
1,000 Zavvi UK
1,000 Media Markt Germany
1,000 Amazon Italy
1,000 Film Arena Czechoslovakia
?
Do the other countries apart from the Czechs also have the weird looking slip?
Film Arena is 1500 (numbered)
The Steelbook with Lenti and Full Slip is a Film Arena exclusive

It can be more than 4,000 the overall print run

What do you mean Lenti and Full Slip? As far as I know (and I am already ordered and paid for), the T1 FA is simply one steelbook: it has a slipcover and lenti magnet.
Mea culpa if I'm wrong- but I think that is the case...
