EEK!! That blows... wish this was in Dolby Atmos, not DTS:X. Over 80% of 4K movies coming out support Dolby Atmos, no clue why they continue to use DTS:X as the licensing for it costs way more and Dolby Atmos sounds way better imho.

How do you expect to have Dolby Atmos in the movie from 1982 without re-recording stuff and doing a set of tricks to simulate and separate stuff to make all these channels?

The wonders of Hollywood and there specialists. Actually the same could be said for DTS:X, in fact there's more separation in a DTS:X track than there is in Dolby Atmos but imho I think that Dolby Atmos just sounds better, it’s more immersive.

Also I don’t know them off the top of my head right off hand but there are other titles out from that time that have Dolby Atmos. One I know of is the Columbia Classics edition which is in Dolby Atmos.

Depends all on audio material they have and the recording technique they used. I would rather have proper stereo or 5.1 if it was made for that original than wacky 7.1.

Well it’s not for everyone but for me if it was a choice between Dolby Atmos and DTS:X I’d choose Dolby Atmos hands down every time.
