Note for those not aware about the history of the film
The reboot It was made in 2023 but it's only now getting a wide cinema release in 2025 and the homemedia releases to follow
The film had difficulty getting a distributor when it was first made back in 2023, with one studio saying it was "unreleasable" due to being too violent/graphic. Cinedigm recently acquired it, and are releasing in theaters in the USA today August 29th
The physical media releases is also from Cinedigm
There is also a 4K+ Blu-ray amaray lenticular slipcover collector edition release

The film by all accounts (this is just from friends that have seen it, not even mentioning the general reviews) it’s not good.
I have not seen it but when an newly released movie is advertising ‘uncut’ for the cinema release that rings the alarm bells, plus the original was crap, unless you grew up with it as a kid with the old rose tinted glasses
Personally, I was kind of looking forward to it but that has evaporated.
