I'm actually hoping for G1, so they can match the rest of the US Best Buy releases, New Moon and Breaking Dawn sold out at most locations within days and went for BIG $ right away. Nevertheless, will be happy to complete this set along with the first 2 from Future Shop.

Personally a pass for me, regardless of value etc. I'll hope for an edition from Spain to round out my collection.

Im pretty sure im gonna pass on this this but its good to see US finally get a steel release in 2013. I was starting to worry a bit lol.

I personally prefer the deluxe editions put out by Target (US) or JB Hi-Fi (AU) to these steelbooks. I've not been a fan of the artwork.

I am not sure they'd risk releasing a G2 at this point, because they know only Steelbook collectors are interested in the 'special packaging' for the most part. So if the cases don't match, people may not want to buy it, LOL.

Did Best Buy ever release the first movie (Twilight) in Steelbook? I picked up the G2 versions for the first 2 films from Canada and then went G1 for the next two from Best Buy. I'm pretty sure Best Buy did release the 2nd film in G1, but I could see them going G2 if part one also isn't G1.

They never did the first film in G1, you have the last 3 in G1 which means no matter you go your going to find it difficult to complete a G1 or G2 collection.

Of course the best covers are on the glossy embossed set released in Italy - such a shame that it was issued in those godawful star metal paks - cheap and nasty.
If they'd issued those covers in steelbook format they would have been a massive seller.

JL, Best Buy often sends out 'backorder' messages for pre-order items. It's an automatic system feature, likely. You should be ok, but you can always try customer support. They may only be able to see the same info you see, however, but it's worth a try. I've rarely if ever had a problem, even when I received the 'backorder' message. Good luck & enjoy HDN!
