It isn't actually being sold until well into 2026 so I don't see how the timing is especially problematic, maybe not the best way to generate excitement but not everything needs to be a sold in a 1 minute race.

Yeah, it's been so long since I bought anything from Zavvi I couldn't remember if they took payment straight away or on despatch.

December 2026 (or further down Q2 so Apr-Jun), getting on for Premium Cinemuseum or FAC timescales model. I did not pay attention to that detail. Also Zavvi with Credit/Debit cards take payment on dispatch, PayPal up front.

I’m actually quite shocked. On their Twitter/ X post the majority of people are giving them sh!t about it. 1 or 2 liking it but not as many as the usual brown noses in the comments. Most saying what’s said here, poor art, insane price point and collectors getting sick of being ripped off on price for physical media, don’t like all the extras etc and/ or the steelbook isn’t good enough on its own etc etc. Usually the comments are so deluded from people who need and love everything or get FOMO

Blufans and manta are better quality and cheaper! If you go premium you have to keep up with big boys or don't bother.

They aren't, I don't know why many are 'masturbating' all over those cottage industry Chinese sets, but Blufans cost exactly $150 for an edition similar to the $90/£60 one here, and MantaLab is cheaper and somewhat better quality than Blufans, but has less stuff in it, and is all too boring and 'standard' by now.
I've always preferred major studio CEs, they're always higher quality, and so were the EverythingBlu editions, so I'm hoping these Bro-Axed ones are on that level.

I think it's covered in paint and dipped in builders sand to get the desired effect. I'm probably wrong though.

imo the design of it all is way too gimmicky.. id much prefer actual good artworks over some replica safe/folder/whatever as the slips/boxes

Agree on the steelbook and slip (although the steelbook itself isnt that bad imo) but i dunno..I think they're very much in a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' situation with this one. Its obviously not a title screaming out for some lavish artwork and the themes and design of everything else are all very fitting for the film so yeah, i dunno..

Interesting to see what the next title is and if it's another Paramount release

I don't mind the new design but the old steel is nicely done and from what we've seen so far if I had to choose one, it'd be the existing.

Obviously there's a lot of things to consider but if it was me I'd pick something which currently only has a wonky steelbook design, that way almost anything you come up with would be considered a win.
