Official word from ES:

We’re certainly planning to continue doing all future seasons of The Walking Dead in steelbook with matching artwork – it looks likely season 4 will be out in September 2014 as it follows the same pattern as Game of Thrones (i.e. the new season hits DVD and Blu-Ray just before the new season starts).

We’ve been told that the steelbooks will feature in the US Walking Dead magazine, so likely to be quite a bit of international interest for these.

The Entertainment Store is pleased to announce our latest exclusive steelbook releases: Seasons 1, 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead, AMC’s Emmy Award winning TV series.

Each season features world exclusive artwork by Mark Simpson AKA Jock, who is responsible for some of best regarded comics and art of this generation, having worked on 2000AD, The Losers and Hellblazer amongst others as well as producing artwork for many major film studios, including the artwork for HDN Steelbook of the Year 2012 winner The Raid.

- Limited to 4,000 copies worldwide

NB: Due to the number of discs needed for all episodes and extras, Season 3 has to be in a Jumbo format case.

All 3 Seasons are sold individually, and will be on sale exclusively through The Entertainment Store on Rakuten Play.com at midday BST on Friday 11th October 2013 when the release date and pricing will be revealed.

Season 1 just arrived :thumbs: still in a card mailer though...Im not sure what to make of them, I dont like it...but all the steels delivered from ES in them have arrived undamaged.. :dunno:

I can now post back the copy of season 2 Ive been holding at ransom lol :hilarious:
 
Not necessarily Geek. I bought plenty of "Region B" only, but some turned out to be region A compatible. I open mine and pop them in every now and again, just to see, but I don't see any reason why I wouldn't do the same for these lovelies.

Just started watching the show, and I love it. Reminds me of Jericho... especially since Lennie James is on it.

Needless to say, I'm getting all three of these next paycheck :cool:

You are going to love the show :thumbs:

There are some great moments that you will be like :wtf:

Also another amazing series is Game of Thrones :scat:

Got mine yesterday. Was shipped in a very flimsy cardboard sleeve; one of the discs popped out of the hub and when I shook the steelbook I could hear it rattle inside :ohno: It was undamaged though.

I got two of season 2 and no season 1, i have emailed them three times now and still no reply, the worsed customer service ever :mad:

I'm having the same issue! I've been really impressed with their customer service in the past as they have usually responded on the same day but it seems to have taken a major slide downhill! I emailed them last Monday and Thursday and I am still awaiting a response so I can get my copy Season 1 and start watching these.

I have to disagree, their customer service has been slower, but remember the time of year it is. I was missing this and 2 guns and they offered me replacements. I let them know this turned up and hopefully a replacement 2 guns will be here for christmas.

Their cs is a lot better than some i could mention

I understand its a busy time of year for all retailers but it still shouldn't take over a week to respond to an email, especially one about an issue which seems to be pretty wide spread with many people's Walking Dead seasons being muddled up.

I got mine today and sadly it was crushed. Pretty terrible packaging for something being mailed across the ocean. I put in a claim and contacted the seller (only put a claim in because the time from purchase was getting close to the deadline for filing a claim). Anyone know how they are with damaged items?
