I would like to state, for the record, that I disapprove of this zero-hour pre-order, especially when this SteelBook has been listed on Zavvi's website for several weeks now without being made live to pre-order! I do not know what Zavvi are playing at, but this kind of thing has to stop ASAP!

The Link in the OP is a link provided to forum website personal and this then gets shared with other web forums
Outside of web forum links it's not yet listed on Zavvi website you can only access the listing by using a web forum link at the moment

This steelbook listing on Zavvi website will only been seen by members of the public outside of web forums when it's made active for public viewing and will be live to order and in stock at 9am on Friday

It's not the first steelbook release to go straight to live in stock a good few of them have before and the details of the of some of these releases was not provided to web forums in advance
Not every steelbook release has a pre order some are straight to live and in stock

Caught this for the first time a few weeks ago on Film4.

Not sure what the fuss is about if I'm honest. It's not something I'd watch again in a hurry. I think it's one of those films that if you grew up with it you'd appreciate it more


It's dated now. I mean could you picture all those gangs wandering around today? And would they really put that much effort into their outfits? Some of them looked more like circus performers with the make up and all!!

I'd actually prefer a 4am live time to be honest... I'm sure I could handle 1 extra minute of being awake.

Hmm 2 extras minutes is pushing it.

Haha yeah, all this fuss and it'll probably not even sell out super quickly like everyone's expecting. I imagine the scalpers have also set their alarms though, just to be safe.

@paulboland ive not got any of these with the slips and i remember you mentioning in one of the threads you noticed the trend with slips between paramount and universal, what were they again? Who does the embossed or spot glossed slips and who does the other? (Can't remember what thread it was in)

So far out of the slipcase releases the steelbooks
Paramount ones have been embossed with spot gloss

Universal matte finish no embossing

That's the steelbook finish
The slipcases have been plain cardboard
