Just tried 999 on amazon and it let me, so must be a high print run on this one

I just tried it and it reduced to 403. I still think this will go the same way as Kick-Ass 2 and The World's End, especially when we get in hand pics and it has awesome embossing and a ridiculously good gloss finish. I have very high expectations for this one.

Yeah it's been in and out of stock since it was announced. And always seems to be loads available when it comes back in.

 Absolutely no need for a panic buy imo.

Actually thats not true. When it first sold out they would only get a few back at time. Which they said were random cancellations right on the item main page. This recent stock that showed up around 10 days ago was most likely around a thousand because members on here immediately reported it showing around 700 left shortly after the stock update. Now it says only 403 left. So selling close to 600 copies in under 10 days will not produce a price drop. If anything maybe even a price hike at some point. Zavvi did that a few months back. This will most likely end up like Rush. I would hold on to your pre-orders.

They could well have ordered a further print run after the pre order sales, especially as there was no finite number stated either when it was announced or subsequently listed. Demand and supply. Would explain a lot.

Anyway, definitely not pre ordering at those prices. Scorsese not on top form at all with this film.

You must not of hit update after entering 999

This seller has only 403 of these available. To see if more are available from another seller, go to the product detail page

Which is why it seems they keep increasing the print run!!! :p

Maybe. If that's the case though why didn't they increase the print runs for the other two when they were sold out months in advance? If it turns out that this is in stock for months, then you can say 'told you so' but if this is as good as the other two titles in terms of quality, I think it is worth paying the full price anyway. I want studios to produce top quality Steelbooks and that means I don't mind supporting them when they deliver the goods. Of course if this ends up being flat and matte (it looks embossed and is hopefully glossy but you never know), then i'll think twice about their titles in the future.

Why don't they count? Cos you didn't know about them?! :hilarious: They count just as much as Germany counts!

They count or don't count depending on if you want Jcard be in English

This AmazonUK release it could end up as sold out at some stage and then collectors have to order from Germany or Spain or Italy but Jcard wont be in English

For some it wont matter as the Steelbook is the same (from what we know so far) but for others not having the Jcard in English is a big issue not with me its not but for others it is

This is selling Well its just unknown as to what the UK print run is

I completely agree with you. Maybe they didn't increase the other 2 because they weren't available outside the UK (technically the German Kick Ass Steelbook can be classed as a different Steelbook as it was debossed) and it's more economical to increase the print run when more countries are involved?

Whilst I agree with you Paul, the guy I was quoting has 'counted' Germany but doesn't 'count' Italy & Spain - which doesn't make any sense, especially if using the J-card text theory!

Every time I go into a HMV now I harass one of the sales peeps in the hopes that someone has some knowledge on the artwork. Yesterday I bugged one of them in the Bristol branch. Firstly, he was considerably less attractive than his Bournemouth colleague. Secondly, he didn't know anything about the artwork :(

I keep returning to this forum to hear about the hot Bournemouth HMV sales assistant, and instead have to wade through post after post about some steelbook and it's quantities. Honestly, I don't know why I even bother... :hilarious::naughty:
