Never seen this disclaimer on amazon.co.UK before ... Might just be me...

Customer Notice
This limited edition steelbook is unavailable as we have sold out our allocation. It is highly unlikely we will receive more stock, so we suggest considering the standard edition Blu-ray instead. If you are reading this but the product isn't listed as unavailable then this is because a pre-order has been cancelled and one or more units are available

I guess it's a new thing, very useful by the way.

Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere on this thread (couldn't be bothered to look through 30 pages!), but Tesco.com have this for pre-order at £21 with a price guarantee that that is what you'll pay, unless the price drops on day of release (no mention of what might happen if it goes up...).

I ordered mine weeks ago and used some Clubcard vouchers to bring it down to £15.50. There is no mention, unlike Amazon, of an allocation. Might be worth a punt as an alternative to other sites.

After the fiasco I had with Tesco regarding Kick Ass 2, I will never pre-order another steelbook from them again
