Very limited print run could mean anything. I'm not buying into it. If it's truly a small run, it should be openly advertised, because it's a huge selling point.

I bet it's just 4000, like usual.

Well they're latest Disney releases where described as 'ultra' limited and these turned out to be 4K.
By all logic very limited would be higher. ;)

Was the steelbook of Pain and Gain region locked?
And I also feel a lot of you are underestimating the popularity of this movie.

If it's over 1000 then I will say fair enough on this not selling out

I think the problem is that a lot of terminology is thrown around and it can't universally be applied to all studios.

One could say "ultra" for disney, means regular for everybody else. :hilarious:

I'm going to post this now. I hear a lot of moaning from people that miss out on a release after it sells out - despite stock warnings and the rest of the accurate information that we post for the good of collectors here - don't let this be you (missing out) if you are interested in this steelbook.

If you're not one of those collectors, no worries...but this goes for everybody out there - if we see a lot of moaning after the fact, there will be a thread cleanup.

Just when I thought Zavvi were easing off a little and what is it with February Zavvi find so interesting?

End of the tax year, so maybe they're having one last push to boost their profits for the annum? If I recall, PLAY.com did the same prior to announcing that they were pulling out of the retail business. I wouldn't be surprised if Zavvi announce they're going into administration in Q1 2014 after "poor Christmas and New Year turnover". Hence why they are loading up January and February with Disney titles which are guaranteed profit-makers!

P & G = Paramount = Always region free.

And region locked titles have sold out before, quite early on in the ordering process - see Dusk Till Dawn.

And matte finish? :( Oh well, I'll still buy it.

I want to see more glossy steels as well, but let's wait and see. There are lots of quality matte steels out there. It isn't bad in general. I am looking forward to it. A quality matte finish could do well with this kind of artwork (vintage style) imo.

StudioCanal=the devil. They took the right to distribute films they own from Criterion and instead released their own crappy versions. Not surprised to see they are giving steelbooks equally crappy treatment.

another great movie in steelbook. can't wait for the price drop!

:hilarious:

I'm surprised, it looks really good, no cheap 2 colour artwork of any kind. perhaps things for steelbook collectors are getting better, perhaps they have learned from having a warehouse full of unsold steelbooks with uninspiring designs

Wow, even on the website it says ultra limited print run. If this ends up as one of those 'oh look, we suddenly found another 4000 copies in one of our long forgotten warehouses' releases, I'm going to sue them for false advertising.
