mine hasnt shipped either, ill give it till monday though, a company doesnt actually have to post an item before release date, most like amazon post on the date, nothing to really complain about, but i am anxious to seeing this in the flesh, all we've had to go off is the mock up which personally I think sucks a bit

Just to note i dont think the mock up sucks, but that that is all weve been given sucks lol

Wish I had picked this one up, I really like the colors and the contrast they create. Allowed the fact I'd never seen the movie keep me from buying, my loss.

I think the artist(s) aimed for a dull look, if you notice the texture they have created with the smudgy black marks, akin to that of oily finger prints/general smudges. I really think that adds character to this steelbook in a way that is very creative as this film is all about oil. oh, and crazy b*stards.

'The band’s fastidiously observed color scheme has three parts—red, white and black (according to Jack, “the most powerful color combination of all time, from a Coca-Cola can to a Nazi banner”).'

The power of that three colour combination is prevalent in the human psyche and they do create a striking image. Just so, this steelbook.

The attention to detail here is remarkable. I love how the oil sprouts up from the bottom of the steelbook. Also how the color of the smoke is red inside the white cross and as soon as the smoke touches the red background, it changes to black.
