Ordered earlier today on zavvi.de with the code, but decided to cancel. Too many steelbooks these days. Perhaps at a lower price, I might consider it.

I've got this on order but I may cancel it, just need to check how popular these will be, my mind is not made up either way too. I used the discount even then as other collectors have said, the price is not right, the Lenti is the part where we know Zavvi need to improve a lot on, have to wonder what kind of finish they will be using, could be disappointing for various reasons.

Basically as some one pointed out earlier, this is going to be a MATTE streaky finish with a poor lenticular. They did it with Avengers and now they're cashing in on the Xmas rush with the rest of em.

The only way this will be worth what you're paying is with debossed / embossed features and a high gloss finish.

Better to cancel beforehand otherwise you'll have a battle with them to allow a free return. Obviously that means getting a look at the final product before release.

Never had any troubles with that. Have gotten replacement copies over and over and last time i wanted to return 2 steels i got free shipping and refunded without any fuss

Why do you want it embossed when there is going to be a magnet on the front?

These will be the same design as the previous Avengers I'm sure.

Matte with a border to hold the magnet. Nothing else.

The zavvi Avengers lenti steelbook was embossed with the title, it was matte finish.

Admittedly possibly the least satisfactory of the announced new lenti releases but these are all valid releases and nobody is being forced to buy it/them so I don't see what all the fuss is about :confused:

Choice is a great thing and if one doesn't like this steelbook or that steelbook then one doesn't have to buy it, period.

Choice is a great thing and if one doesn't like this steelbook or that steelbook then one doesn't have to buy it, period.

The fuss is about the price, the fact they all come out in the next 4-5 weeks (that's a lot of money before Christmas), the lenti magnet (will it be like avengers assemble which was terrible), will it be a dark terrible matte like avengers assemble (they need to be gloss), print run and the random back arts

Also the original 3 (avengers assemble, Iron man and cap) were announced with monthly gaps and then greedy zav come in and announce 6 in one hit just before crimbo (obviously people have already paid for the first 3 within the last couple of months). Not everybody is made of money and personally i would like to collect these (or at least some - the ones I own without 3D and spine titles) due to the new art plus I don't own the orginal HMV Thor and cap steels and I'm quite a fan of these new Thor and cap steels (minus Thor 2 - that does look bad)

No ones forcing anyone one to buy them but I'm not happy paying all those prices before Christmas when they could stay in stock and drop in price in a few months or sell out and have to pay mega money on eBay which I refuse to.
Also they could look crap with the dark matte from before so in honesty who knows. I will prob defo order winter soldier because I'm loving that art but as a marvel fanatic I would like to collect them all.

That's terrible! None of that is confirmed. How do they get away with it????
