The one I mentioned in my above post was sealed.

Is this the one with the 4-6 holes in the shrink wrap? I was watching the auction.

I also watched a futureshop Iron Man and Iron Man2 go for $1000 but the seller canceld the auction. Not sure where the Iron Man2 was from.

Reminder to members. If you have an item for trade, that should be in

1) your trading thread
2) or create a group buy if you have enough copies to pass along

Thank you.

Love this steelbook butt i'm not prepare to gif 100$ for this copy ..

amen to that! This title has always been a great mystery to me. There must be at least 6-8 countries with this title, with the exact same cover art, yet it constantly sells in the $100 - $150 area. Its not like its rare or anything.

Didn't get your order in for your hundred copies of this one then? :hilarious:

Sorry, I don't want to be negative. The reason this is so popular is because it looks awesome, the film is decent and even people who don't like it are forced to buy to complete their Avengers collection. Clearly demand exceeds supply therefore the price is high. Low print numbers don't guarantee a rare Steelbook and nor does store exclusivity. This is way more sought after than solid granite like Hop, who would've thought it? :hilarious:

100 copies!, lol thats funny. Anyways, this was another one of those titles that kinda snuck up on me, didn't see it going for $150. So many countries had it, I figured it wouldn't amount to anything lol. Oh well, you can't be right all the time. But for $150, I'd rather spend that on other more rarer titles. This Thor title has got me re evaluating the Avengers SB' release. I figured that every Joe Smith country's gonna get this release, so maybe it won't amount to much either. But seeing as how the BB and FS versions are MB's, who knows, maybe I better stock up on The Avengers.

How many did HMV produce of these?

It must have been way more than the 4K minimum print run. When it was released and for weeks afterwards they had loads of them in the 2 HMV stores I use and by loads I mean 20 or 30 copies in each store.

Taking into account HMV have over 200 UK stores plus the ones in Ireland and the online side it adds up.

^^ Interesting, I figured the run was pretty low for so many ppl to get caught out.

...what about HMV's online store? I imagine these were available for a few months online before the whole Avengers Collection thing took off?

I don't know the actual amount of time but it was available for quite a while after it became available to order and after release.
