Damn - everytime I see this thread bumped I get a tiny bit of hope in me that HMV might have done an Avatar and discovered a few hidden boxes of these at the back of some warehouse

Trades on forums are rarely ever cheaper than ebay, prices are usually more scandalous on forums! More likely to get an honest description of the condition but thats about it!

Not 100% of the time I have seen a few Thor's sell for £60 quid on here and other forums but seen them go for upto £300 on eBay

Very true some are more expensive than others, I got mine in January from a member on here for 35.00, it wasn't sealed but it was in mint condition suppose it's luck of the draw and getting in there quick.

Started collecting long after this was sold out and really want one but don't really want to pay what they are going for, but at the same time thinking just pay it cause of the possibility that they be even more expensive when Thor 2 comes out which let's face will more than likely happen

I think when thor 2 comes out on blu ray there might be double packs on steelbooks both films in one steelbook

It'll be the Japanese one, it's the only one which sells for £300+. One seller seems to think his FNAC version is worth £330, but he won't sell it for anywhere near that. Anyway, since this isn't the steelbook value thread I'd best shut up before I get shouted at my the mods

If Star Trek is anything to go by they are bound to do a reprint of this when Thor 2 is released. Easy money.

I think as we've seen with the US Watchmen release there will be significant differences if the studios decide to do re-releases.

Besides with Thor 2 coming out later this year surely they'll be looking to maximise on double pack blu rays and Thor 2 steelbooks.

I hope the Thor 2 steelbook design will be in line with this one.
Knowing what Thor has become (value, popularity, etc.), I am sure a Thor 2 steelbook will sell out within 24 hours.

No but you get an award for believing that paying over £ 60 each for a couple of blu-rays in a metal box is a bargain lol.
I paid £ 28 for a sealed Thor last year on ebay and grumbled to myself about that but the rest of the set I picked up at retail price when they came out on Play & HMV , like a lot of other people in here I imagine.
