I know others really like the xmen FC France SB, but this is the best release I've bought this year. The film was fun and entertaining, but the SB is a classic.

It's really glossy, the embossed Thor has a bit of texture to it and the ratings logos are stickers!

The only down side is the lack of disc art. It really does look great and it's still in stock

I fully reccomend to anyone who is on the fence about getting this one to GET IT!

Its the best SB I have by far in my collection, well worth the price and the waiting for it to arrive.

Plus its region free, I just watched the movie the other day, solid fun movie imo.

I think I might be in the minority (of perhaps just me) but this one doesn't do anything for me, the back is nice but the front is just a bit dull. I find it a bit meh

Probably the worst thing about being a steelbook collector, dealing with damaged steelbooks. HMV will exchange it for you, but you're going to have to send yours back before a replacement is issued. You have to pay for the return shipping but they claim to reimburse you. Good luck!

Oh I love the film though....ANOTHER!

(Even if it did make me hunt out my copy of The Incredible Hulk Returns so that I could compare Thors!)

I took the plunge and this just now. From what I've gathered from this thread is that it may take up to three weeks for it to arrive. Guess I'll have to watch some movies until then.

darczap, man sorry to hear that yours was busted up. I guess it's hit or miss when it comes to international ordering with these things. I hope mine comes in alright.

Yeah, it's a shame that amazon doesn't get any good exclusives anymore. I would rather buy from them just because they have better customer service. Overall though, HMV isn't bad. I hope yours turns up perfect AcId

Just opened up mine, it came and already had a loose disc. Emailed customer service and didnt get a reply for 2 weeks. So i was like wth ima open it since the back is so nice! Opened it and immediately saw a dent on the top/back cover. The circle thing that holds the blu ray disc has a 1/4 chipped off also. Dissapointing indeed.... I really hope my Captain America is in good condition as I never really wanna order from them again!!

friedrice - a couple of my buddies that I "group" bought Thor with had the same dent - back cover near the top. One of them had the same broken middle holder clip. Fortunately my copy was the best one of the lot but I traded that away for something else happy grin and got the Japanese version. Man, it is night and day. I believe the quality control of the Japanese lot is definitely better than those sent to HMV. For instance there was NO glue "snake" on the data sheet, shrink wrap is tight and perfect, and the entire steelbook feels "heavier." I will see if I can grab some pics tonight.

reading this thread made me open my copy, you really can't say it's dent free unless you remove the back card or slip cover and check. fortunately my copy is o.k. though i wasn't so lucky with my capt america...

This is long overdue but Thor is finally OOP on hmv. I also heard that Captain America is OOP online but they are still sourcing copies from stores. So if you have been procrastinating on Captain America I would order one now.
