A good Iron Man 3 Release would be perfect. I am missing a matching release for my Iron Man 1 + 2 collection from Play.com

But for know i cant wait for the 1/4 Slip release. But i hope that also NOVA make a release for this. I like the NOVA Fullslips a little bit more.

The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2
Iron Man
Avengers (Mondo X IMO doesn’t count)

Think it’s just those 4, and they are all on the cards to be released at some point.

We really don’t need another avengers but it makes sense for it to be on BFs list if they want to complete the MCU

Nope no idea at the minute. They haven’t even released the edition details yet.

Blufans are now closed until the end of Feb due to Chinese New Year.

I'd like to see other Marvel releases but then again not having the others my collection would still be incomplete.

If I could go back in time I would tell my younger self to not buy so many other steelbooks on impulse buys and just buy Blu fans ones instead.

That's what I've been doing the last year or so. Picking up the Blufans titles I missed originally.



I used to buy nearly every Zavvi release. No more. I concentrate on mostly premium editions now.

Think im gonna cancel the zavvi steel @Basil and just get the Amaray to tide me over until this is released.

After all of these years of collecting i am finally being picky about what i order. I’m thinking of just concentrating on premiums from now on. I figured that if i buy a couple of premiums a month, thats the equivalent of buying 6 or so normal steels (which i was doing)

Collecting the other steelbooks you've missed has it cost you and arm and a leg or have you been lucky? Oh and do you try and seek out the edition you wanted at the time ( like single lenti, double lenti, full slip etc) or are you not bothered as long as you have the steelbook, since most people would like the entire product.

I would try and get the other ones but the Guardians of the Galaxy one and Doctor Strange seem like they'd be impossible to get without selling my liver on the black market.

I can't keep buying steelbooks anymore like I used to and I'm extremely picky now. I feel like @zavvi has killed collecting them in my opinion where no love goes into bring them out. I mean I look at my old Play.com Terminator or Iron Man steelbook and they feel/look better then steelbooks that are released now.

Premium Editions are the way forward in my opinion. Wish I never bought half the crap I did...but getting into steelbooks and having student finance does that unfortunately

Tbh I’ve been quite lucky, I’ve rarely paid over the original cost price

And I’ve always got a edition in mind when I go for them. I have a few chances to get certain editions at a good price but it’s not the slip i want etc

Just sell the editions you no longer want and use the proceeds to finance those that you want. Been doing that for yrs now and it helps take the sting out of your finances as you acquire more of the steelbooks you want.

This. Startet this last year and it feels ok ...before that i always had the compulsion to buy everything. So happy that i am now much more selective. But not with Blufans and Marvel

I've been quite lucky as well.

Not got many at cost price in fairness, but I don't really expect to. I haven't gone too much above it though.

I couldn't have done it without the community on this site though and it's helpful members.

And also agree, selling the copies you don't want definitely helps .

I've been saying this for quite a while now and sadly nothing has changed. Pretty much every zavvi exclusive smacks of minimum effort, even down to the finish used. Just look at their brief flirtation with slips where they just re-used the same art as the steel inside . The whole approach comes across as a cynical money making machine with no love for the products in question.

For Marvel releases like this I tend to buy the 3D amaray and sell it on when I have the BluFans edition in hand, which helps deal with one of the main downsides of buying premium editions - the wait for it to be released !

yes you right kizza and everyone else i also just pre-ordering then cancelling due to the premiums are so much better art, the steels zavvi and hmv have become sooooo lazy its like the studios think we'll do these cheap as possible different but cheap as possible.
for me they are really killing off buying any sort of steel they are producing on wwa and i for one won't do it like that anymore.
i'm not buying just what ever sh1t they call a premium, which tbh is prob worst then having amray art other than it is a steel book.
they may as well sell a blank steelbook and ill stick the amaray art on it and it would be better than what they are offering generallyof late.
if they think pop art as they have been doing is the way foward they are very sadly mistaken.
thor above doesn't look too bad for once which is a change but the back could do with some serious work.
so off to cancel zavvi right now its a shame they can't get decent art first time, im sure they would sell a hell of a lot more quickly for them and more profit as warehouse space costs money.

You can’t order direct with Blufans. The only way to obtain this will be via a group Buy or on the secondary market after release
