another endgame. as long as it keeps selling out, i don't think weet will ever bother to fix their website. i wrote an email to them previously and it goes into a void

i don't get why this title is so popular though

the design is so so. we have blufans release unlike endgame, we have 1 WWA and 3 WEA (2 Zavvi and 1 BB) so where is all this demand coming from lol

Thank god for group buys.

Group buys are the main reason it "sells out" in the matter of seconds. And with all benefits for both the customers and retailers, there are so many GBs for the same items, direct ordering is almost impossible in some cases (sometimes I do miss the preorder bloodbaths with same chances for all buyers

Scalpers, scalpers and (again) scalpers.

The new VAT rules in Europe and the "false demand" (from scalpers) coerce ppl to buy before other scalper makes money with it.

Even when they are not very interested (or have enough money) to get X edition, people go to the extra mile to get one edition which is not what they want to get now BUT it is what they expect to buy in the near future.
This means scalpers force collectors and usual buyers to buy the edition as fast as they can (if not, they will have to pay x2, x3 to get it after pre-order).

The law of supply and demand does not apply in this case. Scalpers take up all the available supply to hoard all the demand.
Limited and numbered editions are their goals and aims. Prices goes up reeeeeal quick. Days after a pre-release, you can go to evilbay to notice that. Months after, have to request a mortgage.

I am not happy with the situation ( Never been ). But before pandemic situation, shipping prices were acceptable and (in my case) I could afford it. Now, not. So I am out of the game for now.
Edition (55€) + Shipping (30-35€) = More than enough to leave them free for business (not for collect).

Obviously, there are more people willing to sell their editions without beeing a scalper. The difference is the object of each one; the first bought the edition for him/herself, and he/she decides to sell it whenever (at price market or bit more, low quantities). The second, just bought to sell it and takes the profits. As much quantities as they can pay. Not everyone can play this game, but at least is not as important as bread, eggs or milk (fingers crossed...)

Completionists who want all Weet or all marvel releases. Some people might not have got the blufans release
People that order to resell
And the good old self fulfilling prophecy. Ordering cos they think it will sell out making it sell out.

One thing that gets me are the people who order a one click through group buys and then try on the actual day to get singles. Even some admitted that in here. That certainly should not be allowed. The audacity and greed is loud with those people
