That it is not like the recent Warner Brothers releases priced for quick sale, no inside artwork, catalog titles, etc. This is premium because it is a new movie, has 3D and unique treatment (debossed title on front).

I need to be 100% sure on this information

Reason for me asking this is I might be in a position for a friend to get this for me in USA Best Buy Directly or have them pre order and shipped to there home in USA and bring it back to me in Ireland with no shipping costs or other costs involved

The only downside is I would have to wait until March/April before there back in Ireland to get it in person as my friend will be going to USA in March for 3 weeks (Has a home there)

Thor 2 best buy Steelbook!!!!

This came out of the blue & I'm very excited for this one. I'm getting up early on the 25th and going to BB early and get a few cherry picked copies. I'm gunna open my copy in-store to make sure it is perfect. That's the only eat they let me exchange it if its open. Got the Zavvi on order as well. This tittle warrant an easy triple dip. Zavvi Steelbook, best buy Steelbook & target exclusive slipcover with Loki on the font! Hell yeah!

Your assuming this will still be on the shelves in March with a February release date, its plausible as some of the big studio releases like Amazing Spiderman and the Dark Knight Rises languished for weeks if not months but most steels don't stick on the shelves for more than a week unless they are the re-released films like the Warner line. Heck Fast and Furious 6 was gone in a week or two and that had massive quantities.

Any update on the artwork? UK retailers usually reveal the artwork months before the release date which we seldom see with US/CA based retailers.

After reading all the negative feedback about the packaging or lack of that bestbuy use for online orders I would be extremely worried about preordering this. Ordering for pickup instore seems to be best option.

but his friend wont be out in the states until after release so his only option is to have it shipped... i would honestly recommended you to buy at least 3-5 to have a chance that it gets shipped in a box and receive at least 1 or 2 that are mint, and the extras could be returned to bb directly. Thats what i personally do for bb and target releases now (life happens and you never know if you can make it to the store for release day )
