"Bad" as in "fine, good" or "bad" as in "it stinks" ?

he meant bad as it Stinks !

this movie is soooooooooooooooo bad.

...and oh yes. I can post my opinion.

I knew nothing about the movie, was really looking forward to it as I love Disney Movies and this seemed to have a nice premise,
and this was Basically just OK. I cancelled my Steel as soon as I finished the movie as it is not worth owning a Steel for this
Movie. They could have made so much more with this movie, the idea of the city and the pin was nice but
with the special effects that were used for this movie, so many, this should have had a 3D release without any questions.
It started interesting, but it lost its energy as the movie was playing. I was disappointed, was expecting much more.

As always love the way they always revamp the Castle at the beginning to go with the feel of the movie, nice
touch as always about the Caste. Beautiful Steel, but meh movie.

Nearly everyone likes the steel but opinions of the film itself seem to be sharply divided - I'll just have to make up my own mind as soon as I can after receiving my copy.

Sure you can post your opinion, but without any explanation, it really doesn't mean much.

This is not the best movie ever made, but it was fun. It is a great family film and what I mean by that is that it has good action, a good story, and characters people of all ages can relate to. Don't go in with any expectations and just watch the movie.

I stopped watching trailers in 2002 and find that I enjoy films much more.

There is no gratuitous violence or sex or cursing. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I don't need my six-year-old to see that.

This is a much better film than, say, HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2 or MINIONS. I haven't seen those films, but my kids would like to see those too, but I don't think I will like them.

Would still get the Steel for HT2 and MINIONS though. :)

I did the same, I don't remember since when but I never watch trailers anymore(as you see all the best part of the movie in 2 minutes which ruins it all) and also do not read descriptions, if I do it is just first couple of line to see what type of movie it is(in some occasional cases when title and poster/cast isn't enough) but usually just by going with the title and poster is enough for me to decide to watch it or not, in the very extreme case where a movie doesn't appeal to me, I may start watching the trailer to get a feel of the movie but if I am not drawn in in the first 30 sec to 1 min usually means it is not a movie for me...

I like going into a movie with a fresh mind, not knowing anything about it and not having any expectations, I find I enjoy more movies this way and movies that I would not watch otherwise...

Steelbook arrived yesterday, very happy with it, decent quality finish, it has a sort of gloss 'light' finish to it, when you touch the front/back it 'feels' like a good matte finish, but glossed, weird.

Watched the film last night and enjoyed it, very funny in parts and I've got no idea why people seem to have something against it, should have done much better than it did originally. Those robot FBI guys certainly struck a pose.

The extras on the disc are good as well, Hugh Lauries' science hour outtakes are very funny.

As ever, I thikk Zavvi are using some 'creative' stocktaking :)

got my copy today! very nice in hand, happy with the end result...:) i'm proud to say i'm one of the few out there that i liked the movie!
Female lead ended up being a very annoying character for me. Got harder to watch her as the film went on.

Didn't help that it was a twenty-something actress playing a teen. Maybe that had something to do with it? Terrible casting choice IMO.

Film is too long also. Drags for the last quarter and ends up getting a bit too ridiculous. Can see why it didn't go down too well with audiences. I think Brad Birds weakest film yet :(

Anyway, that's just my take on it. I've already sold this on...

Blind buy. Watched this last night and absolutely loved it. I had no expectations going into it though. I also really like this classy looking and simple steelbook.

Ordered today. First time I saw it, it was at a press screnning. It was awesome, one of my favorite movie of this year. And I was so disappointed that he crashes at the box office.
A easy buy for me.. (but sad that it did not have french subtitle on it :()

Can anyone who has received this please confirm one way or the other if it does / doesn't have FRENCH SUBTITLES as that has got to be just completely nuts if it doesn't have one of the most widely spoken languages in the world as a subtitle option.

No french subs. But you can buy if you want the french Blu-ray and replace the Steelbook disk with the french one.

I was actually asking the question because of your earlier post (No.331) as I find it very strange that one of the most important and widely-spoken languages is not included on this disc as a subtitle option.
I find it absurd, ridiculous and just plain WRONG :)

I've lost count of the number of non-UK based EU releases that don't include English subs; a limited set of subtitles is an extremely common thing.

On a massive film like this from a big studio operation I would have expected more is all I can say !

Naturally and properly enough all the foreign language films I buy - be they from Japan, China, France, Italy, Korea, Spain & Latin America, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Finland, Germany et al - have English subs.
