Top 10 Steels in your collection

OK. I though this would be a fun thread to start. I actually can't believe there isn't a thread like this before. Heres the rules. It can be ANY steel packagings (ie SB's,IP's,MB's,MP's), I said "steels" not "steelbooks". The only other rule is that you can only post 1 of each steel. For all you maniacs out there with 10 FS Iron Mans hidden in between your mattress, this means you can only submit 1, the other 9 has to be different. You know who you are. It can be top 10 anything (eg. most valuable, best liked, most rare etc). It's time to strut your stuff, and show this great community your awesome collection. I'll start.

My top 10 here is based on value.

I've done a top 10 based on value, best looking, and most common steels in my collection. Now, its time to do a last top 10 based on rarity in my collection. I only have 1 of these folks, theres no X4 or X5 here, these are all unique. If I were to trade for any of these, I would have to ask for a premium on these, as I've only got 1.

why do you have so many of the same steelbooks

What are you talking about? Didn't you see my rare steels just above? I only have 1 of those. Thats not too many. if you're referring to my top 10 most common, the reason why I have so much is because I like them, they are quite nice. And also because they were all there for the picking at one time or the other.

No I got a second open one, already have a good trade lined up for it ;) can't wait to get the trade item :D and I'm not telling haha

You dude,I don't have 1408, its a very nice steel. If your trading your sealed copy, would you consider trading it for anything in my top 10 rare posts? Like I said, it would take something special for me to part with one of those rares, but 1408 is definitely one of them!

Is it just rarity in your own collection? Becuase Scarface is probably the most common steelbook of all time? V for Vendetta and Appaloosa are still available, it's a great collection no doubt but there are loads of rare ones in the first batch and hardly any in the other?? I'm not complaining, but I envy you!

are you trying to be funny lol;), im just asking a question, you could have 100 of each for all i care , i like the watchmen steelbook myself finally got one on the way myself, in regards to the rest the scarface steelbook is the best outside of watchmen, i dont care for moulin rouge or romeo and juliet myself , i know they are expensive to buy now but i have no interest in the two movies myself, nice collection all the same:D

Hahaha, yes, its just rarity in MY collection. It is quite a paradoxical collection isn't it?

TBH if I had any rare steels, those are the ones I would want duplicates of. You've played it very well, there's no harm in getting duplicates. Some ppl really despise it. I only get copies for trade, apart from the upcoming Ironman, and the Thor that randomly came back in stock, I only have 3 duplicates - Reservoir Dogs, American Beauty and Predator. With Iron Man and Thor I ordered as many as I could afford, and then some :D

Why thank you very much, I feel the same way. My collection wasn't always this valuable. I just made the right choices. Always go by what you see, and not by what you hear. Pay attention to what "is", rather than what you "think" it should be. If you do this, with a little risk taking and cash, theres no reason why you can't have a collection like this also. What you do see, I paid only a fraction for, only a year or 2 ago.

It already has, it's called 3D and it's crap. 2D is cheaper and better, whether at the cinema or in the home. The next format is probably years away!

Yo Rix dude, relax. I was just being sarcastic lol. I don't believe in the "next generation" theory. I was just repeating what someone said to me lol. To tell you the truth, I'm not entirely sure the next gen format will even be a physical disk. My theory is people collect these for the case, and not the disks. So whatever the next gen format is, green ray, brown ray, whatever, it will have absolutely no effect on the collectability of these cases.

Yes! Finally a Paul showing. There is just something about that steel that I love. Especially when the light hits his eyes just right.

great selection sunny, i also love the paul steelbook but one of my favourites is the green hornet, love how they used the grill of the car as the cover art a very underrated steelbook in my opinion

You know that wasn't me right? It was just the last part that was me, the quote didn't come out properly :hilarious:

Read as is, it seems quite a rant, but I was just saying I hate 3D ;)

i hate 3d too , maybe when it gets better in the future i may watch it but as it stands today the format is not really that good
