Never expect a 3d disc from Zavvi as its not what they do for some reason?

In all fairness it's probably Disney's decision. They don't seem to like to include any extra content for UK steelbooks. Although Zavvi have some say Disney are pretty much 'take it or leave it' merchants.

It doesn't really cost much extra to produce a steelbook with an extra disc, so there's not any excuses for not providing premium content in premium packaging. Why don't do it right so it creates some positive buzz, instead of making people feel that they are getting ripped off?

I know that old phrase. 'If you don't like it, don't buy it.'

Some of you guys are looking at the negatives. Lets think about this, great film, back artwork, better price than the others and potentially glossy as some have recently been. It's not great but atleast they're listening and trying. Can't wait for this release

Sorry if it has already been asked or stated somewhere but I could not see it
But does anyone know the print run of this one yet? Is it a 4k or a stupid print run like 10k which all the newer Disneys seem to be

I think if Zavvi went through the thread, there is quite a lot of support for 3D.

The look of this, definitely better than FS and German ones, is good. I would have snapped them up if they included 3D, ok they dont. I have amaray combo packs of each with beautiful slipcovers that include 2D, 3D and Disney E-Copy. I'll pass but I do like the look.

When you have a Blu-ray Disc that has 3D and 2D

Which do you watch the most
3D version
2D version

Repeat watches of the Disc do you use the 3D OR 2D

I find myself and have spoken to others they all admit they really use the 2D version more than the 3D

I only purchase a 3D disc if it has exclusive extras otherwise I only purchase
2D version

There is no point buying a 3D disc unless you will be watching it mostly in 3D
Its better for a release if 2D version is released instead of 3D as most times its cheaper than 3D version as long as you don't loose any extras

Answer me and Be honest with your answer
All your 3D discs how many of them you really watch the 2D version more than the 3D version and how many times you watched the 3D version

If this was a 3D release I hate even to think what price the release would be if released as a Steelbook
as Zavvi already have a high price on 2D Disney Steelbook Releases

In all honesty, if I have the 3d Disc for a film then that is the version I will watch. Very rarely will I use the 2D disc. That is just me though.

For this movie, I can live without it being 3D as that is not how I first watched it at the cinema.

I dont even own 3D tv hardware (other than my PS3). If something includes 3D i'm excited because eventually I'd like a 3D tv, but it's never a deal breaker for me.

The only thing I hate is when the bundle certain exclusive in the 3D versions then if you want them all you have to buy said 3D version.

3D sales have been really poor in the UK. What might be useful is for HDN to set up a or questionnaire asking the different regions whether they have 3D equipment and if they are interested in paying additionally for a 3D steelbook. I am a 'no thanks', but I suspect that the proportion of people interested in paying more for 3D steels is higher than the general UK interest in the technology. If you want more 3D releases then you need to provide some level of comfort they will sell better at a higher price with 3D included.
