I have the FS version and shelled out big bucks for it. I am not very happy to see this re-release. It will probably have a different finish though. If this has a matte finish then the glossy FS version is still better to me.

Who cares if you have the original rotf futureshop stop complaining you guy's are just mad it got re released with the same exact artwork that's why everyone is makeing a big deal out of this who cares just be happy for new collecters who didn't get the original and that said im defently happy zavvi is bringing this back out and f.y.i in a min there will be no more so called GRAILS cause there all are gonna get RE RELEASED SOONER THAN YOU THINK!!!

Why care about anyone else at all? Is it so hard for people to show consideration for fellow collectors in situations like this where members of the forum are affected? Whether you agree with it or not, there's no need to be rude

Not one member who has the FS version has repeatedly posted 'I'm so glad I have the FS version and you don't' or 'Who cares that you don't have one, you should spend your hard earned money and stop complaining', so why does it need to happen the other way round?

Show some love and think before you post. It only takes a minute to pause and consider the consequences of what you are saying. Then there will be 5 pages less to have to read through and moan about!

Zavvi are a joke. I didn't like them when they were on the high street so it's no surprise I don't like them as an online store too. If they didn't sell steelbooks I'd have no reason to buy from them. Zavvi are ridiculous

I don't mind rereleases but why use this artwork. Come on zavvi use your imagination and come up with something different

TF2 was awful. I guess the FS release is better purely because it has no disc inside

Also, the quality feel with these new releases, in general, it is not the same...Very lightweight and not as heavy as the stuff from over 2 years ago....I guess we have to wait till the steel is in hand before we can comment on the finishing but I'll be sticking with the FS version

i for one, will get this version and still chase the FS original. they will be different enough - banner/finish/data sheet - and probably this will be single disc (and not the big screen version)
there is the same negativity about the watchmen re-release - but as similar as that is, the gloss finish is what made it a great steelbook - and the re-release doesn't have that.

I think this artwork is the best out there for this title, so it makes sense to use this one over the german artwork, or the amaray artwork etc.
the only way this could have been better would have been if it followed that same theme as the first uk steel, maybe having bumblebee on the front and starscream on the back - or the US slipcase artwork.
...I know it won't happen, as its not owned by a big studio, but now we have the 3 recent transformers movies In steelbook - how awesome would it be to get the 1980s cartoon movie as a steelbook!!!

Hey there, there is a reason why I didn't accept your friendship request, even though you sent me one a few months ago. This is another of your insensitive comments that re-affirms my decision...

To make this post relevant to this thread, IMHO, Zavvi is killing steel-collecting as a hobby. 90% of the new releases don't interest me one bit anymore, this included.

Edit : All I am trying to say is steel is becoming as prevalent as amaray, therein spells the beginning of the end of collecting steel as a hobby. I speak for myself, and I suppose a few other people I know of. Sure, it brings a whole of lot of new people interested in it, and that's the evolution of any form of new media or the like, but it loses some of the older guard. And as I learnt over the past year, a few of these new collectors will choose to collect grails later on, some may not. But who will turn down the opportunity to pick up an IM FS or T2 V2 JP sealed now for, say, $100? Or in this case, a RoTF FS for $50? IMO, not many.
