Have all of these separately, including the TV series, so no thanks. But it is a cheap way to get everything at once for those that didn't buy them all for $200 over the years...
And miss out on the ass-blasters? No, the first trilogy, and the prequel, are really good, have the most satisfying creature life cycle, and Burt Gummer is my hero!
Tremors (1990) is one of my favorite movies of all time. Tremors 2 is a worthy sequel especially for direct to video. Tremors 3 is flawed (especially the CGI) but fun. The rest either ehh or bad.
happy days. i finally picked this up 2nd hand sealed for a price that i could handle for a series of low budget, fun B movies. appreciate this will bump an old thread, but for anyone interested, here's a bit more detail on the release.
the slip for this has always irritated me, in that it looks exactly like it should be a j-card + back credits that come off, rather than the permanent banners top and bottom and and printed rear that it is. was crying out to be a j-card with uncovered art both sides . they make up for this a little by spot treating the front:
the disc art is all varied, which is good, but none of the film discs actually carry the titles, which is odd. this UK edition seem to have French printed discs inside, but all of the content is English / first.
all in all, an adequate but comprehensive release for the franchise. is this a great series of films? of course not! but they fit squarely in the guilty pleasure section, & i find i can watch absolutely anything with Fred Ward or Michael Gross in it (in the same way i can Bruce Campbell, or maybe Michael Rooker, Rutger Hauer, Lance Henriksen); they always bring something entertaining and watchable, no matter what they are in.
if you are still seeking something low effort for those later nights and can get this for a reasonable sum, this could be the set for you. just ignore the terrible series.
