They have done a grand job restoring this but... (And I'm gonna be that guy cos I remember watching this in the cinema when it was first released)... It's still a bit of a 'boring' movie isn't it??

Really enjoyed Legacy, but the original just never really worked for me. Way too slow.

I'm a huge fan of the original (also from the original release), and I agree that the movie's greatness is not that it's a Great Movie as such, but that it created a world that so drew me in and ignited my imagination when I was a kid. For a long stretch when they get on the solar sailer, it's really hard to stay interested. (There was supposed to be more during that sequence, but they ran out of time and money to complete the scenes.)

I didn't know if I needed a new steelbook for this, but watching that restoration video . . . wow! So looking forward to seeing the movie afresh!

Yep. You can ready disney and zavvi like a book. There's another 3 coming tomorrow too. I'd expect the new conjuring to be 1 of them, anyone's guess on the other 2 really. Maybe honey don't and caught stealing, both are new in the cinema.
