UK Postal Charges set to rise .... again !!

Just seen news item on BBC that postal charges from Royal Mail are set to rise again with effect from 30th April 2012. So I checked website of Royal Mail and sure enough they are going up. If anyone wants a pdf then they can go here for a downloadable version.

What does this mean ? Well I send a normal Steelbook well padded in a box it usually works out as £5.37 ie under 400gm, under the new tariff same Steel will cost £6.76. This is an increase of nearly 26%.

This will have an effect though on all general trading which is why I've posted here. If this is not right please move.

Here's a tip for all UK people. Buy the first class stamps now, these can still be used after the price increase as long as the stamp says 1st class on it, you can make a saving of about £1.68 per 1st class book.

This is a bit crazy, that's a huge increase. Cheaney that's not a bad idea stocking up on stamps now.
