Really pleased they've taken the text off, it was the only part that turned it a little sour in my eyes. Now just a nice finish and we're done here. Not entirely sure (though seems unlikely!?) if Studio Canal are outsourcing here and there to people who actually care about doing a good job with a steel, but if they are then I welcome the change!

According to the designer, it is confirmed...

"The steelbook will be a ‘clean’ version without the title. The original designs did feature the title treatment, but I’m glad we went without them in the end. The accompanying taco card will have all the text, cert and film details." - Source

I am familiar with the design studio's blog as I posted about it 3 pages ago. I did not know the designer responded with that info, so I agree its looks like the mock-up could be the official one. But it still seems weird that Zavvi is working with them for exclusive artwork and they both currently have different mock-ups. As you say many times Paul, I would not confirm anything until there are in hand pictures.

zavvi arent exactly famous for having true to life mock ups on their site, or even correct/accurate info.

if the designer himself said it will be clean, and provided images to prove it, that's all the confirmation i need.

Last time they provided wrong info about one of their WEA releases (The Aviator) people raised hell and they had to refund a lot of money. You think they would eventually learn. But then again this is Zavvi.

Damn. I passed on this assuming it would be matte. If the title on the front is confirmed, I may have to attempt to acquire a copy. Great news for everyone who already has this pre-ordered though regardless.

i'm glad i did not cancel, but instead pre-ordered 2 copies with the 10% code.
mockup without title looks great already, i hope zavvi sorted out the packaging issue already or at least until this gets shipped.
