like it or not,i think France has done it again with their own unique cover.you have to hand it to them being able to go against the grain time and time again.this is the one to get IMO thus far unless someone else emerges with a different cover.
Its G1 though.

it does look like its going to be a G1 steel but hasn't been 100% confirmed.so there's still hope.don't get me wrong,i'm still gonna get the other G2 design in my collection as well.but if it turns out to be G1 with a different design,i think the value will still surpass the others.
That looks like a backside image because of the short credits at the bottom. If this were a G2 then this would be the one to buy. I'll stick with the FS edition.
I'm with chip on this one, I've always supported the French with their unique covers and amazing steelbooks but all that ends when they release things in G1 sizeIts G1 though.

just had a look at this listing on amazon and they are saying this is an amaray case classic packaging, also e-mailed them. why not put us out of our misery and just list it as a steelbook? have fun.

I'm working for a french website about cinema, so I contacted the PR of M6 Video who releases the steelbook. I was concerned too about the size and I clearly told them (Hopefully they're almost friends haha) that if it was a G1 I'll buy the steelbook somewhere else. And that's her anwser :
"Regarding Underworld, the steelbook is indeed at a blu-ray size."
So I think now it's clear it's a G2, they just messed up with the image of the blu-ray.

Thanks for the confirmation and welcome to the site but I think you mean the other way round as you got things mixed up with the size, G1 = DVD Size and G2 = Blu-Ray Size
Oh yeah you right ! I always say G1 instead of G2 and G2 instead of G1 haha

just like when they show the picture of planet of the apes, we all thought it would be G1 and at the very last it was confirmed G2
