Hi,Ninjas,

There is a massive Union Strike at German Post /DHL at the moment.Millions of Packages and even more Letters in the distribution centers all over Germany are waiting for delivery. And it´s getting Millions more every Day.The Strike may go on for several more Weeks,no one knows how long it will last atm.

This is just an Info for Members waiting for Packages from Germany or planning to ship here.

It´s a massive Chaos.

So,be patient.

Cheers

The strike is also mainly focused on the Deutsche Post, so letters and small packages (which you can send through regular mail) are mostly affected as the delivery now takes longer and in some cases has to be postponed as for some districts these will not even be attempted to be delivered and will just be held back for a week before they are then processed to be delivered. DHL however has managed to deliver most packages on time and is not as badly as affected as the Post itself - this I say from my personal experience. Still, small delivery delays are of course the case. But in any case, you will receive your item, it might just take a little bit of extra time.

UPDATE: The strike has now (after over a month) officially ended. But for the next days and maybe even up to two weeks, there will still be delays as it will be one incredibly hard task to clear the many many overflowing post offices which have been sitting on lots of mail for weeks now. But normal service will eventually resume.
