This Thursday, we’re proud to introduce artist Brian Reedy to our fellowship, and Matt Griffin takes us UP higher than we’ve ever been in partnership with Eyeland Prints!
Our first release with Brian Reedy, a Miami based linocut and woodblock artist, is a meticulously crafted map of Middle Earth from The Lord of the Rings stories. Brian’s incredibly intricate linocut work is a revelation, and he handles every step of the process--from importing handmade lokta paper from Nepal, to creating the art as a detailed linocut, to printing each piece individually. Both his artistic process and the results are wildly impressive, and we’re happy to begin our journey with Brian in Middle Earth!
Matt’s print for Pixar’s UP focuses on the scale of Carl and Russell’s life-altering trip to Paradise Falls. UP’s emotional impact is on-par with its stunning visuals, and Matt’s print is badge worthy for helping remind us of how scenic the movie is!
