Upgrades at airports. Anyone ever managed it?

Ever checked-in to a flight and asked 'got any upgrades' and had the reply along the lines of "Why yes we have"..... tell us what did you get?

Will be trying it again when we go on honeymoon.... you never know

It depends on the airline, how many flights there are to that destination a day and what time of day you are departing

I can suggest a very good Hotel in Feltham where they offer 'upgrades' on the top floor lol

Haven't had a flight upgrade, but have had a few hotel upgrades… especially in Vegas! I tried the $20 sandwich (When checking put $20 between your ID and credit card) and got upgraded to a jr. suite at planet hollywood!

Me and the mrs are off to Los Angele on monday morning with Virgin from Heathrow and hoping to try and get an upgrade of some sort. We managed it last time on Virgin, think it cost us £100 each upgrade to Florida
