Thats the only thing that bugs me about it. I don't have V For Vendetta on bluray & I dig the art on this so I stuck an order in, but I wish it didn't have that Matrix trilogy thing on it. Its so out of place!

I can understand that type of thing appearing on a standard Amaray release but slapping it on what's supposed to be a "collectors edition" seems like a daft decision!

This looks really nice, and with the right finish it could look even better! I own the first release though, which is already a winner IMO, so I'll pass on this.

Going by the steelbook release for FRANCE (which is of course how ours will look) it's interesting how they've kept the cast members on the front of the new steelbook as on the original but, as already mentioned, then added that unnecessary print about "The Matrix" at the bottom which is thankfully missing on the more elegant original . . . at least it's really low down and hopefully printed in a darker shade of red (!?) than the two main cast members above the title and consequently not too noticeable.
The other main difference (apart from the front artwork of course) is that the new steel has a debossed title vs, an embossed title on the original.

Cool how they've used the image of the first steelbook on one side of the inside and with disc art matching the other side"-



Not surprisingly appears to be the same disc as inside the previous original steelbook:-

Why they feel the need to print it on the steelbook is beyond me. More money saved.

Yup, it's OK but still prefer the original by quite a wide margin . . . can't grumble about the de-bossed title though but still too much darn print on both front and back

I already have the previous Zavvi exclusive Steelbook so it's not a must have release if I not already had the previous one then I would have kept my order

The previous 2014 steelbook sold out which was a different steelbook

I think it must’ve been gone for a while, because I have been searching for a steelbook of this movie for a little while and in my searches at Zavvi from time to time I can swear that only the sold-out 2014 steel has come up. I ordered this yesterday when I suddenly came over it while browsing Zavvi.
