I've been seriously slacking with my foreign language films lately and haven't seen a single one of these yet.

Saw "Ida"...loved the way it was shot. Not overwhelmed by it though. I hope to catch more if rights are obtained in USA in time. Usually that doesn't happen, sadly....

The only one I've heard of is Ida and it seems to be an Academy favourite this year, so my vote goes to that.

Completely agree! It was such a touching film. Horrible snub. I think the mother played by Anne Dorval deserved a Best Actress nomination slot.

From the list, I have only seen Leviathan, and that was very good, but not better than Mommy. imo
