The artwork is exquisite but is matte. Having missed out on the purchase, not sure if its worth the price on E -Bay now

well, it will be my highest matte steelbook paid for,lol
i'll glossy/varnish myself, it won't be perfect as industrial glossy steels can be, but it ll pretty much do the trick for me

i just hope the zavvi to be released(i have no doubt it will sonner or later be released by zavvi) won't have an artwork i like,"lol"

Seriously, I think the confirmation of a matte finish calls for either:

1) Reduction in price.
2) Spot gloss added to Wall-E, the junk heap and the title.

Or at the very worst

3) A redesign of the Steelbook that would better suit matte (namely not a dark sky where it would look dull)

If a redesign were proposed, maybe it would be push the delay long enough for a 3D release. If not, I hope Zavvi's upcoming Wall-E release is Gloss Finish and includes a 3D disc.

the zavvi one(assuming as i believe there will be a zavvi wall e)will most likely be glossy based on the latest zavvi's disneys/pixars released steelboooks

t kevin said sooner that it should be ready to be shipped by early february

if so ,it won't be another design(personally i wouldn't like that, since i love this one and i can glossy the steel)
i would be all in for a reduction price, but i'm convinced it won't happen..

I know matte finish upsets a lot of people. But at least we'll still get the lenticular/full slipcover with it. If you're a fan of the film, this is the only version that will come with the slipcover which makes the package looks a lot more premium than the Zavvi's one (if they'd make one)

it seems like it's gonna be the same story for Thor first movie...border issue will be fixed but I guess when he said he could live with a matte finish it looks true...sucks though Thor and wall-e Matte Finish, Thor he also said print run will be reduced due to cancellation and less interest and Group buy will also be affected by the reduced number of copies. It's not confirm on a blufan corporate level but seems like this will be Matte

Oh such a let a down what hurts is that I saw the picture of the lovely glossy version few months back but with lots of scratches. So it make it very hard for me to get excited about receiving this is matte finish super flop on blufans part and not all their fault I suppose they didn't f up the original batch that's manufacturer fault but they should have gave us what was advertised and paid for buy us regardless of reproducing the steel not our dam problem it got f up where is he customer loyalty and they need to put scannavo in the hot seat for f#king up so many of their latest releases, thor wall e iron man seriously. So they corrected iron man gave us pretty much what was promise why that couldn't be done for wall e. Seriously thinking weather to cancel now artwork is simple matte will not suit it.

@razr24788 I know after seeing that picture of wall-e the finish looked ultra Glossy so gorgeous but them peeling off the plastic and seeing all those lines it's just not right if they don't give us for wall-e, and Thor as well, the Fully Gloss as it was supposed to be. After all we are the ones who buy repeatedly, the loyal blufans customers...if they don't tell Scanavo to fix it the way it should have been in the first place at one point they will lose all credibility and most of the collectors will see blufans as a thing of the past...
