Warner Bros. Wave - May 7, 2013 (Blu-ray SteelBooks) [USA]

A new wave of Steelbooks coming to the USA, due for release on May 7th 2013-appearing at multiple retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, in-store at Costco, etc.

Small update:

actually about 3-4 titles will have inside art.

Just received Sucker Punch and it's 100% identical to the Best Buy exclusive. Even the barcode on the j-card is the same; they've just put a sticker with the new barcode on the shrinkwrap to cover the old one. I wasn't expecting new artwork but I did expect at least something which would make it different from the previous release.

Best Buy Loading Up

As expected, sooner or later, Best Buy will load up on this wave just in time for graduation and Father's Day like last year. Actually this display has been up for about a week but tonight is the first time I have seen a "full rack."

Very likely, like last year, the price will drop to $9.99 within the next 2 weeks.

The $10 price is not confirmed yet but watch for them in the upcoming flyers. Don't remember if they had the Upgrade and Save $5 coupon at the same time last year but definitely not this year

Got Hangover part 2 through the post today in a jiffy bag and the Royal Mail chucked it over the back gate and somehow its mint! Ordered three weeks ago! Now they better release the third that matches the first two....

As for matching artwork, that's what worries me about steelbook "sets". Resident Evil was one of the ones that kept a theme to the artwork so they all matched, but I always think of movies that were released in a batch like Bourne for instance, all 4 match perfectly. If they made another one in a year or two what are the odds its gonna match?

Where Hangover 3 should be out relatively soon, I'd hope it'd stay the same... same color with a Giraffe head on it or something..

Ive stopped buying steels now as my ocd nature and the quality control going downwards were a pain in the ass and to get me off them i sold Iron Man 1 and 2 so i wouldnt need to buy the 3rd and could just get the Avengers 2 boxset when its finally out for that exact reason.

However for a smaller film with a bigger run such as the Hangover i do hope for the matching set!
