A new wave of Steelbooks coming to the USA, due for release on May 7th 2013-appearing at multiple retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, in-store at Costco, etc.

Small update:

actually about 3-4 titles will have inside art.

The best buy ad seems to be broken can we confirm $9.99 on these? Also are they doing the trade and save still (I got reward certificates and with the trade and save I could pick 6 of these up for $20).

Upgrade and save ended in May. I'm not sure about the prices though.

Was just at bb and not all steels were 999. Lotr's were still 14.99 when the hangover is 999. Comic wave still 14.99. Comic wave looks to be in process of restocking. Shaun was sold out a couple days after release. Now its completely full.

got saving private ryan mission impossible for 9.96 a piece at walmart. Dont know if wb steels are same since they didnt have any new ad saying any of the steels were 9.96. Only found out at check out. Niether bb or walmart had ad for the new prices in store. Really wish they did.

Fingers crossed then! I ordered Batman Begins and Dark Knight... hopefully Amazon will refund in case they arrive damaged. Never had any problem with them before.

I went to my local Walmart to return these Warner steels and found that Walmart also decreased their prices to 9.96. If you bought them from Walmart you can get a $3 refund per steel.

Looks like "Superman Returns" is the only WB steel from Best Buy that did not get re-released yet. I am wondering if there will possibly be a Wave 2 in the USA, which will include wide retail retail releases of this as well as more recent movies like "The Dark Knight Rises", "Argo", "The Hobbit" and others. I'm thinking a Wave 2 will depend on two things, sales and defects. If sales are good, I can see WB issuing a 2nd Wave. But, if the defect rate ends up being high, I wouldn't be surprised if they stop flooding the market with catalogue Steelbook titles.
