I think we talk at cross-purposes...
The scratches I mean you can even see on the hdn picture of the actual steelbook in the first post. I tired to increase the size and mark the scratches.

i have those scratches on the exact same place so i guess this was a manufacturing problem and it didn't happen afterwards but it might be possible that a few copies got lucky and don't have those scratches

can you show me a close-up picture of you're copy that hasn't those scratches?

You' re lucky the shrinkwrap wasn't fully sealed when I got this from amazon so I could pull it back for you:hilarious:

thanks for the picture

looks like you got lucky and received a minty one

i still don't know if i should opt for a replacement or a partial refund as my replacement copy might have those scratches too :(

Received mine from amazon.it. I have the exact same scratches. But the scratches are
really slight, I just noticed them with the light reflection.

BTW it's the first time I have a german steelbook with a FSK logo made in paper than in plastic.

Had 5 of these in hands now and this is the only one without scratches. Have another one with really minor scratches but the chances of getting a perfect mint one are really low....

BTW: 342 back in stock, seems to be a reprint

I can only repeat what I said earlier because I think some of you are having problems translating into English.

They are not Scratches - a scratch is an actual CUT in the steelbook caused by a knife etc - run your finger over the "scratch" - can you feel a cut mark ? - No you can't
We can argue all day and night as to whether this is a manufacturing fault or not and both sides of the opinions have the right to think yes or no but they are not scratches.

As far as I can see, the mark under his arm is something in the background, possibly it's a fault in the original artwork photo or during the transfer to steelbook edition but I have yet to see anyone produce a photo of the steelbook that does not have that mark under the armpit. They all have the same mark, it is not something that only affects some of the batch.

But one more time to get it clear, fault or no fault - IT IS NOT A SCRATCH :hilarious:

Thanks for the english lesson but there really has scratches.
We can feel the cut marks with the finger and even with the nail.

Yes, we can:hilarious:
I know what a scratch is. I had enough copies in hand of this one and we have scratches here. On some of them the scratches are more visible and some don't have the scratches at all (only have one without them). When I run my finger over my copy with the really visible scratches of course I can feel the SCRATCHES.

But I don't want to argue about this anymore. I'm happy with my mint copy and I'm out...

Those are definitely scratches, my apologies but that is the first photo I have seen which actually shows the scratches.
They look like Stanley knife scratches but if they appear on a number of steelbooks I can't explain how that happened.

Shipping is more expensive than Steel........

For anyone who ordered this from Amazon.de a few days ago (like me :emb:) when it was 17.99 and now it's 9.97, give customer support a shout and see if they will price adjust. They just did it for me :scat:

My email:
I ordered Warrior Blu-ray Steelbook just a few days ago and now I see that the price has dropped almost in half. It was 17.99 when I placed my order and now it is 9.97. Do you have a price-match in place, so I don't have to return and re-order at the lower price? That would seem like a waste of time and effort on both our parts. At least some kind of good-will or preferred customer refund. I placed hundreds of orders over all the Amazon sites and have been a US Prime member for almost 4 years. It just really annoys me when I think something is a good deal, order it, and then the price drops drastically just a couple days later.

Thanks!

Their reply:
Dear Customer

We are definitely interested in an attractive pricing policy for you. This means that we always try to offer items in our shop at very special prices. Please note that once the order has been confirmed you have accepted the shown amount and therefore have agreed on the price offered by us.

However, under the circumstances, I have requested a refund of EUR 5,15 to your credit card. This amount reflects the difference between the price you were charged and the current discounted price.

if this is a reprint than how come it has the scratches just like the first print ?

I have no idea..But they had ~600 available, sold out and now have again more than 700 in stock. Where the hell did they get more than 1300 copies if this isn't a reprint?
But you are right the condition of the steelbooks ( partly removed shrinkwrap, dents and the scratches on the same spot) feels like old warehouse stuff

I have the first print and got this "reprint" today, no difference whatsoever.

I think this is the same situation as with The Matrix Trilogy steelbooks - for some reason they didn't sell their complete stock, that's why it sold out relatively quickly - which I always thought was highly unusual for a movie like this...

I purchased this when it came out and now you all have me wondering if it's scratched up. I'll have to dig it out later and have a look.

Re print.

The studios have completely turned their movie business into a commodity. Supply and demand. Devaluing their assets bigtime. This will be the last straw until they really find out the pain of people renting and not having time to buy a movie.
The studios just don't get this new economy and the secular shift going on with people using the net and smartphones as their main supply of free time.

All the studios are doing is throwing gasoline onto the fire of their assets.
