Any way of checking whether this is region free? I know it says Region A but so did John Carter and it was Region Free.

Only way to be 100% sure is when someone finally receives it and can confirm this for us. Hopefully that will happen in the next day or so.

Absolutely. The only place i have found some info on

hdmoviesource. com. Wish i could post the link but im not there yet.

According to them the US manufactured discs are in fact rgion free. But as to whether that is confirmed for places such as Amazon too remains to be seen. I will have to wait patiently...
