It's about time this got a blu release in the UK. Not blown away by the artwork though, what's wrong with a bit of original poster art?

I truly love this movie but I don't know how Amazon can charge £24.99+postage for it. It's not 3D and if it's the same as the German release it will have 1 disc. Hope it drops in price to nearer the €15 Amazon DE have it listed at.

Its Free Postage Super Saver Delivery for UK and Ireland Customers with price been £24.99

The advantage of this now is if the price drops you still get the Free Postage Super Saver Delivery
It has Pre-order Price promise

If the Price Drop you will automatically get the lower price

Was really hoping for good artwork for this classic, they could have done better than just a zoom up face, think I will pass on this one, the price makes sure I do too.

One of my very favourite Sci-Fi movies, glad it's finally getting a U.K release.
The price is high, but it's hard to resist even so.
The standard release says it's a "40th Anniversary Edition" so let's hope for some decent extras!

What's this, part of the Amazon close up face collection? ;)
Looks like something from those cheap American waves.

The extras should be the same as the Warner USA release
"On Location With Westworld" vintage featurette (9:07)
"Beyond Westworld" 1980 pilot (47:52)
Theatrical Trailer (3:07)

Cant say the UK will be the same but don't see any reason why it wont be

If anyone can understand Amazon's apparently new pricing policy please take one step forward . . . . .

Right, thought not!!

Why, oh why are the .uk site apparently pushing us all toward the .DE site where the exact same steelbooks are appearing for damned near half price, and sod all for postage if you buy a few?

This happened with the last lot of classic titles that came out - Longest Day, etc, which were way cheaper on the .IT site - where I got mine, 'cause 7 quid or so is a terrible price to pay for a j-card in English!

yes jack ill step foward i have been speaken with the uk amazon board and they told me there is something there market research has shown up it's called rip off britain policy. basically they jack the price up and they think we will pay it!:muted:

personally i hope they get stuck with pallets of stock, problem is only real competetion they have now is zavvi and there not known for being well priced either.
There also have been quite a few instants i have let them know a steel is cheaper on zavvi they have just ignored it and left at a higher price.
I'm starting to think too ignore them for steels period maybe if ninjas could look else where as a first course of action pricing may change, they seem too have little regard for any competetion even if shown again and again as i have done.

basil
