Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon UK (purchased in 2009). At the time, I just really wanted a nice version of this movie, rather than getting the plain Amaray version, and had no idea what steelbooks were. Since then, it's been my only steelbook up until this summer when I really got hooked. It's not pretty compared to steelbooks nowadays, but yeah...

The first steelbook I owned was Inception (FS). I remember choosing the steelbook over the amaray because I loved the artwork. But later sold it because one steelbook looks strange in a collection of standard amarays.

Years later I ran into Pan's Labyrinth (CA) and LOVED the artwork, and noticed all the other steelbooks around it at Future Shop. Most notably was Jurassic Park, which was a standard G1 size steelbook rather than the oversized, flimsy copy of the trilogy I had recently bought.

It went downhill from there.

From Dusk Till Dawn CA

Was January of this year and I just wanted "From Dusk" on blu-ray and discovered that the best available transfer was the steelbook release. Before than I didn't even know what a steelbook was or that they existed.
