When steelbook designs are inferior

What are people's thoughts on steelbooks where the amaray release gets a better cover design?

I think that this amaray design for Invasion of the Bodysnatchers is better than the steelbook edition for example is inferior to the amaray design.

I love the film but the steelbook design disappoints me.

good point. But usually (if the title is good) its just a matter of time before the other art gets released in steel. And since ART is subjective there's gotta be people out there who like the white art (on the steel) better.

its a nice steel, i like the feel, I own it. BUT I hadnt seen that other art you linked till now and it does look cooler.
