For all the **** we give the studios for the art that they choose, these public choices are not helping out cause. Three terrible choices in a row, I think I will stick with amaray for now.

No, it doesn't... I think the arm is meant to resemble the arm on the Man With The Golden Arm poster, drawn by Saul Bass, however... It doesn't work in favour for this steelbook at all!
I was joking.. I can be silly sometimes lol:bag:;)

Cancelled my order too... will wait for a price drop, which will more than likely happen, considering steels from previous comps like this (Only God Forgives and Machete Kills) both eventually ended up in the bargain bin.

It's a kick in the teeth when the amaray case will be better than this- Is there a contact at Empire magazine so any of us can ask as to how they decided on that being the winning entry?? Disgrace of a steelbook...

I loved the film and really wanted an awesome steelbook. However if that's the chosen artwork I'm canceling my pre-order. Looks like a horror film from the front. It's not until you flip it over that you see the drumstick. Horrible idea!

There is still hope that "Whiplash" may receive a Steelbook with better artwork.

It's a Sony title and Sony's UK Steelbook releases of both "The Equalizer" and "Fury" featured unique artwork that was exclusive to the UK. Sony's Steelbook releases in other territories had different artwork.

Hopefully, there will also be international Steelbook releases of "Whiplash" from Sony which will feature different and better artwork than this travesty.

As with night crawler-we could do with a nice Taiwan/PA/kimchi whiplash...
