I dont think the artwork is that bad but its just not suited for this film. This is a great film and very intense and that artwork just feels comic'ish. It completely miss-represents the movie.

But I think the competition rules hamper the submissions and actively encourage these comicky entries - "must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use"

Order cancelled. Going to pick up the Bluray on amaray and change the artwork sleeve myself. And then wait to see what other studios release.

Awful awful awful looking steelbook. JUST LOOK AT THE EFFIN ENTRIES !!! SOME ABSOLUTELY AMAZING simplistic submissions, but yet he goes for that (great effort, but not good enough)? Way to go man ... way to go.

Problem is you could not use already licenced images unless you got permission to use to create the artwork going by their rules

Must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use

Majority of the other entries used already licenced images they did not have the rights to use

The Artwork should have been done by the film studio as they have access and rights to use images we as general public would have had to ask permission to use

Sometimes original artwork that does not use already licenced images can be amazing but in this instance it did not happen

Congrats to the winner and their effort with their entry to the completion but its not something I like and I would prefer the Film Studio create artwork that can use images they have the rights to use and gave us a choice to vote on if needed

It's nowhere near being the best entry in the competition and that's very sad when you think about it... but thankfully I actually don't mind the chosen artwork. That combined with how much I like the film means I'll keep the ol' pre-order :)

even if by some miracle you like the art, you should just wait because this is definitely going to end up in the bargain bin sooner rather than later

Literally every other choice in that post up there is better haha. I'll snag it if it hits cheap as i really want the movie in my collection.

I still can't get over how bad this choice is, it looks like it is representing a horror movie. I obviously know where it comes from but if you didn't have a clue you would be fooled into thinking it is something different.

Practically all the other choices were better, dunno what to say about the director for chosen this, lost for words.

Ironically the film was produced by Blumhouse Productions (Insidious, Sinister, Oculus, Paranormal Activity... and so on) and it kind of is a horror flick in a weird way... if you think about it. Here are a couple of articles that touch on the same thing..

So in a way I can kinda see why the director went for the artwork in question.
