I've gone for that deal. God knows I'll end up regretting it but I already have my copy in place, and with Kick-Ass 2 coming out this year I wanted to get the 1st print before it is released.

Kick Ass first print-but which Kick Ass did you get? There's a ton of them, UK, Canada, German etc....

Received my Roger Rabbit yesterday and it arrived undented and unscathed. Came with Play.com packaging. So that's good for USA peeps like me, but I have 1 additional question, that someone here may be able to answer.

My initial thought was, if they do well with RR, then I would order the entire Indiana Jones series. I did so and received an e-mail saying "Unfortunately due to problems with shipping these items and them arriving damaged we are currently unable to dispatch your order to the United States.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue."

Good and dandy, but these are pre-orderes....so how are they getting damaged, when the date is June release? I then asked if this was a temporary thing or something permanent, they replied today that they do not know. So now, without either a group buy or eBay, I cannot order them myself. If anyone knows anything or can look into this, I'd seriously like to know why. The Jones series is one of my unicorns and they are separate to boot. I hate jumbo's and get annoyed when they combine movies together. Individually is always the way to go for me, unless it's absolutely necessary. Thanks all.

Got my copy yesterday and have to admit that i am very impressed with Zavvi's first attempt at a steelbook. The embossing/debossing is amazing. It arrived in perfect condition. Their new packaging is definitely a step up compared to the old cardboard envelopes they used to ship steels in.

This could mainly be down to all the paint chips, slashes, dings and dents that RR has went through which has somewhat tarnished a great release it's cost zavvi money and they will be getting many returns and complaints it doesn't look gd for future zavvi releases I for one am hesitant it's like you need to order 3 of everything in order to get a mint copy this is not down to the packaging though the damage is happening in the line before it gets to zavvi most likely whoever packs in the discs or j-cards there quality control is a joke and they have a mad slasher running round ruining our steels slashin at the spines of RR, Skyfall and the likes that company is going to ruin it for zavvi for amazon and all other retailers. and for us for me i'm already looking at taking the import alternatives and spending my money where the quality control is of a higher standard.
But I do sympathise with you mate it really sucks.

Placed an order for three copies of godfather the other day and just received my boxes yesterday. I opened them up today and one of them was a copy of WFRR! Not sure what to do, because I had ordered three copies of the godfather trilogy for friends. I guess I can just sell off the WFRR to buy the extra godfather. I'll probably still be ahead in the end with the prices WFRRs are going for now. But that was definitely an unexpected surprise. All three steels arrived in excellent condition, too. Love the new packaging!

They despatched something to me yesterday that I ordered on Wed. So, they haven't stopped doing that completely at least.

Who knows, with their new packaging maybe they will not stop shipping to the US. Guess we will have to wait and see. I really hope not since so far I have had nothing but good dealings with Zavvi.
