Someone with a SHED load of charisma I feel that thire are very few and far between that could pull it off.

Mark Strong is a fantastic actor and a marvel to watch however to play Mr Mercury I don't know.

Looks wise Sasha Baron Cohen WAS the perfect choice. The performance he did for Sweeney Todd Yep that convinced me enough. Eion Bailey (Pinocchio/August Booth ) Once Upon A time with some tweeking for the looks , Not so sure about the OOHHMPH factor.

Richard Armitage (Thorin Oakenshield) Maybe could Or Benedict Cumberbatch.

Whoever they get will not please everyone after all such a legend to portray I am not sure it could be done by anyone .

I sort of agree with Sascha, that the movie should be R-rated or at least PG-13. Of course it should show a lot of good things but also the downsides.

The last thing I wanna see is a kiddy-friendly PG movie about such a great singer, smuttered in sentimental bullshit and covered in strobelight and happy music. When making a biographic movie about a legend, don't ever go too bright and don't ever go too dark. A line between is the way to go!
