Indeed is gloss, maybe my camera just sucks.
However, the most important thing is that my fiancée loved it and this has been the trigger for converting her into a steelbook fan so I will forever be grateful for this release.

Thanks but could never buy a steelbook from Amazon once was enough and never again since and packaging is more even worse now than back then, sending this other side of world probably not help matters

This drives me bonkers, they release the same steelbook design add a bit of embossing,
chuck in a couple of art cards and call it a collectors edition…

The deboss is around the figures and the circular window and opening at the top and behind them. I wanted to do more than a straight reprint for the UK but had to work within certain constraints ;-)
I entirely agree with you which is why I didn't call it a Collector's Edition
That's essentially what I pictured the debossing effect to be, and it's a good choice tbf. Is this still going to be full gloss?

I was literally about to say why not go the whole hog and just have this fall in line with the other Universal CE's and do a slip and booklet. What was the reason for not doing that? Just constrained by the artwork allowed?
