There’s also a 2nd steelbook up for preorder. Artwork revealed on Monday 24th. Kinda makes you wonder why they didn't just wait 1 WD and list it then instead lol

Does anyone know yet if they’re going to include a blu ray or we just buying yet another Steelbook that only has a 4K disc in it?

I need to know if this has the same finish treatment to the new Wicked steelbook and why it don’t include art cards like that one because I don’t want a repeat of that and Nosferatu where you release a newer version or a better version of the old steelbook less than a year later. @johnnythm ?

Hopefully johnny answers, but I'd be surprised this this variant has any bossing tbh. I can't really see a meaningful way to make it work with the front artwork.

Well he answered the easy question above mine 10 mins ago now so my question is obviously being ignored and the last steelbook came with both discs so I’m not sure why that was a question.

I dunno something around the bubble with a border this time? Border stops and follows the design of the bubble. I just wana know if it’s full gloss and if another version with artcards is planned later next year? lol

I see where you're going with that. It could work, but that's a very experimental treatment attempt. Probably too much for Uni lol yeah, I'd like to know that too, but they're unlikely to confirm it now. Voids the need for buyers to double dip

Hey there. I hear you, I know it can be frustrating when newer versions come out soon after older ones. With Wicked, I was offered a steelbook reprint by Universal for the UK. I do not generally like straight reprints as it is great for collectors who missed out first time round but less good for those who purchased a now reprinted steelbook who see the equity in their collection drop. My solution was to do what I could within the confines of what was permitted - adding artcards and a new finish to differentiate from the initial steelbook. These Wicked For Good steelbooks are part of larger worldwide run so that was not possible this time. Currently there are no plans to reprint these. I will say that Steelbook 2 is an international only run so will be available in smaller quantities than Steelbook 1 worldwide. Nosferatu is a simpler answer - I was between jobs when the new release came out so was not able to work on a special edition sku for the UK market in that window - those sorts of releases take about nine months to put together. Same for Wild Robot.

Cheers for the detailed answer man, appreciate that and makes sense I suppose. Good to know thanks

Interesting tit bit on the V2 steel. It'll depend on atwork for me, though. V1 is already about the best design I could picture from the theatrical posters tbh.

I’d argue making a rerelease an improvement over the original release is worse than a straight reprint. Its rare for collectors to care that more people can buy something but feels more disingenuous to reward late adopters for not buying initially with a superior product.
