so i've been reading some how-to's. and i've got version 3.4. it looks like i need version 4.2. how do i go about updating? do i need to get a game that requires 4.2 to install it? or is there another way?

No 3.4 will work fine,i hacked mine using the zelda twilight hack

I would hack at 3.4 and just upgrade to 4.2 the right way, therefore it won't erase anything.

followed gaf's guide and got updated and hacked with version 4.2

holy crap the wii is ugly tho. emulating on the pc > actual console

running my games off the hard drive IS pretty awesome. i think i may end up just getting bluetooth for my pc and doing all my games through emulation tho. its so hard on the eyes compared to the emulator
